First Aid Training

Basic First Aid Training:

  • Primary survey (DR ABC).
  • Resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, & infants.
  • Use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
  • Recovery position.
  • Management of choking.
  • Treatment of severe bleeding.
  • Shock management.
  • Management of burns & scalds.
  • Dealing with seizures
  • Treatment of minor injuries (cuts, bruises, sprains, & strains).
  • Recognition & management of heart attacks & strokes.
  • Managing unconscious casualties.
  • Basic wound care and bandaging.

Advanced First Aid Training:

  • Advanced airway management.
  • Use of advanced airway devices (e.g., supraglottic airways).
  • Oxygen administration.
  • Advanced resuscitation techniques, including the use of manual defibrillators.
  • Management of major trauma & spinal injuries.
  • Advanced management of medical emergencies (e.g., asthma, anaphylaxis, diabetic emergencies).
  • Advanced wound care, including use of dressings & tourniquets
    Intravenous (IV) therapy & fluid administration.
  • Pharmacology for first aiders (knowledge of emergency medications).
  • Triage & multiple casualty management.
  • Detailed assessment & monitoring of vital signs.
  • Advanced immobilisation techniques for fractures & dislocations.
  • Scenario-based training & simulations.
  • Legal & ethical issues in advanced first aid.
